I wanted to see this movie for so long but when I finally had the chance, they’d already stopped playing it at my movie theater.
I’m so glad I finally got to see it. What a great movie and what a great story about beating the odds. The three women portrayed, Dorothy Vaughn, Katherine Johnson, and Mary Jackson, are constantly run through the bureaucratic wringer to keep them down. Yet each of them won’t give up and eventually accomplishes her goals.
It’s truly such a well-acted, well-scripted, and well-shot movie. Each of the main actresses is spot on in her portrayal and the film never veers into sappiness, staying grounded in stark reality without heavy-handed exposition. This is how you do it folks.
